Who’s behind Chelt
Chelt was founded by a portfolio director with government, defence and aerospace delivery experience, who has directed multi-billion-pound portfolios and trained as a physicist, with research in particle physics and nuclear fusion. He works with an enterprise technology lead who rose to principal technical lead at a major UK bank, with a career in storage architecture, data centre migrations and business-critical infrastructure at Royal Bank of Scotland, Dell EMC and BSkyB.
We are a small team, supported by engineering, working closely with a few pilots rather than many. We have built secure systems for work where the stakes were legal, financial or national.

Do I have to commit to a pilot?
No. Most organisations start with a walkthrough. If Chelt fits, we’ll suggest a pilot; if not, we’ll say so.
What do I actually get out of it?
Earlier warning of what puts your objectives at risk, with the evidence to act on it. Chelt runs your checks on every project, links projects to each other and to your strategy, and gives each person the findings and recommendations they need at their level. Your people review and decide.
Why not just use ChatGPT, Copilot or an AI agent?
They’re powerful, but they decide for themselves how to do the work, so you can’t be sure your governance was applied every time, or prove it. Chelt runs your rules on every project, every time, and uses AI only for judgement. Your people decide, every step is recorded, and you shape Chelt as you use it. And unlike work-management tools, which hold your tasks, Chelt checks the work and records the decisions.

What does Chelt connect to?
Chelt reads from tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira and Excel, and from the policy documents, strategy documents, board papers and meeting notes you give it. We connect the tools you use as part of onboarding or your pilot. Chelt only reads from these sources, so each one stays your source of truth.
Is it a live connection or a file import?
Either. Chelt can read from your tools through a connector or from files you upload. In both cases it reads one way, on a schedule you set, so your tools remain the source of truth and nothing in them is changed.
Is Chelt only for large organisations?
No. Large portfolios gain most from problems caught early, before they cost millions. Smaller teams gain capacity: your checks run on every project without adding staff.
What results have pilots shown?
Our first pilots start in December 2026. Each is measured against success measures agreed at the start, and we’ll share results as each pilot agrees. Even a clean result is useful: it’s proof your governance held.
What’s included in a pilot?
Six to eight weeks on a programme of your choice: a live one, one that’s already finished (to see what Chelt would have caught, and when), or sample data, ours or yours, set up around your governance, with success measures agreed up front. There’s no obligation to buy, your feedback shapes what we build next, and if you continue you keep early-adopter pricing.
What does a pilot need from us?
A programme of your choice or sample data (ours or yours), a named sponsor and delivery contact for a few hours a week, two or three success measures agreed up front, and an NDA and data processing agreement before any data is shared.
What happens to our data if we don’t continue?
If you don’t continue after the pilot, we delete your data. It isn’t kept or used for anything else.
Is Chelt production-ready, and what does it cost?
Chelt is in early access. It is available as a proof of concept and is in test, and we are validating it against real projects with a small group of pilots. Pilots are priced to be easy to approve, agreed with you up front, and credited against your subscription if you continue. The launch price has not been published yet. Do we need a consultancy, or can our consultancy offer Chelt to its clients?
You can start on your own with your team. If you already work with a delivery consultancy, they can help set Chelt up around your standards. If you are a consultancy, you can bring Chelt to your clients and we’ll run the pilot together.
Which AI does Chelt use?
Whichever AI models your organisation has approved. Chelt can connect to any provider, so the terms you’ve already agreed with that provider apply, and you can change provider at any time.
Is our data secure and sovereign?
Yes. Your records live in your own secure vault, not in any AI provider’s memory, and only the people you choose can see them, AI included. Chelt only reads from your tools, so each one stays your source of truth, and it isn’t tied to one AI provider. We host UK data in the UK, or we can set you up on your own enterprise server with enterprise security, in whatever location is needed. Cyber Essentials certification is in progress. You can export your records at any time.
